How to make online money and about how I started to earn money online...

When you are searching for how to make money online you are probably hoping to find a solution or alternative to that 9-5 job... or at least maybe trying to find a helping hand with some of your bills, right? Like I was!

As you will read in my story, I first almost gave up because of lack of time and persistence. I am glad I finally came to my senses and did what I had to so to keep going.

I have been making a living online for quite a while now already. I started right after my graduation from FIT, New York in 2005, with an online freelance design project in baby wear - my major at FIT was fashion design.

After doing that first freelance project I instead became a sourcing coordinator for an Indian clothing factory that I found online. I was introducing or "selling" their services to retailers.

However, I did not feel like a sales person and still don't feel like one at all, so I was searching for other ways on how to earn money online.

I then heard from a friend that the company she was working for needed a Customer Account Manager and it was a "work from home" or "work online at home" position.

So I sent them my CV, had an interview and got the job. It was a huge Ohio based company. I was living far from them, basically on the other side of the ocean, in Finland, Europe. All training was done by phone and over the Internet.

So I was working from home, dealing with clients, teaching them this companies software, calling a lot, emailing a lot.

The pay was OK, but to be honest it was pretty boring most of the time and other times there was quite a big workload for just one person.

After a year or so my motivation was low and I probably didn't do as good as I should have... Instead I was dreaming of starting my own business and being my own boss. I was thinking of other easier ways on how to earn money online, but did not have time to think too much, because life was busy.

I moved to Barcelona, because this boring job had a positive side - it gave me the freedom to move wherever I wanted.

We lived in Barcelona for about a half year, but my son didn't seem very happy at his new school and I kind of did not like the city too much, so I decided to move again.

This time we moved to Majorca :) We had a great time there and my son was getting on quite well at school this time.

One day when I was bored and stuck at home again with my online job and endless phone calls to make, I was instead surfing online for alternative solutions on how to earn money online.

I was basically looking for a solution to what I could do instead if I would one day DARE to quit my job.

That's how I found Site Build It - SBI!

I was interested in SBI immediately. The idea of building a website on anything I really like and being able to earn money online that way (and be my own boss!) kind of gave me hope.

I bought my first Site Build It website a little while after having found it online.

Now, a few years later, I have 4 SBI websites that I am really proud of. They are all making me money!

I almost made the mistake of not ever doing anything with my SBI subscription after I had bought it, like with many other make money online programs I have bought, but then forgot about!

So, after I bought my SBI subscription, I started looking over what I was supposed to do. And what I had not been prepared for, was that there was a lot to learn. Going through the Action Guide, which is a video tutorial teaching you about SBI, took quite a bit of my time - and I was actually supposed to be working... so I did not really have that time...

I didn't have much "free" time outside of work to devote to SBI either, because I'm a single mom and have a demanding little individual that needs attention.

So I let the one year SBI subscription aside for some time, and I almost even forgot about it... (good thing I remembered SBI a bit later!!).

I kept on doing my work, being bored, stressing to meet deadline after deadline, and I was working overtime more and more - yes even at a "work from home" job you need to do over time here and there.

Then came a time when the company I was working for had to downsize… and, of course I was one of the people they "had" to let go.

My boss was really nice about it as she was concerned about me and my son. But as nice as it was that she cared, it didn't help my situation much.

I was in total panic.

What I had been playing with in my mind – being my own boss and to earn money online, suddenly seemed so scary.
