Many people say affiliate marketing is the best way to earn money online and get rich. But the truth is, being an affiliate is for sure not going to make you rich overnight.

You need a large audience interested in exactly the kind of product you are advertising to make any sales. You need a website. But not just any website. A successful website.

Unless you are a very good seller. That could also work. Selling a product to people you know. Or putting up ads in a newspaper, have them call you up and explain the benefits of the product.

Unfortunately though, most of us make recommendations, but don't make any sales. But of course it depends upon the product, it depends upon the people you recommend it to, it depends upon what they were looking for when they find your recommendation, it depends upon how you say it and so much more.

On one of my websites, where I get over 1500 visitors per month, not a single person has bought anything from my affiliate links. But I know it might be because people coming to that website are interested in information on nutrition facts and health and they are probably not interested in buying stuff. On that website I earn from my ads instead.

Build a Successful Affiliate Website

If you want to make money online using affiliate programs, you should first build a successful website, and then for sure you can make a few sales every month.

Before that you would be earning money from your Adsense ads. And if you write well and manage to pre-sell your visitors in a good way, you can even make more than just a few sales every month.

Use A Great Web Hosting Company When Building Your Website

How about a few sales every week? This is no problem at all, but you just have to make sure you use the same web hosting company I use
